About Cédric Touzard

Cédric embodies a rare fusion of French heritage and South African spirit. Holding dual French and South African nationality, he was raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has been based in Cape Town, South Africa since 1990 — a city whose rich cultural landscape continues to inspire his culinary artistry.
Cooking is not simply Cédric’s profession; it is his vocation.
In 2007, he formalised his craft by undertaking intensive professional training at the prestigious École LENÔTRE in Paris, France — one of the world’s most distinguished institutions of gastronomy. Internationally acclaimed for excellence, the school is led by Meilleur Ouvrier de France award-winning chefs, representing the pinnacle of French culinary mastery.
Following his internship within LENÔTRE’s renowned laboratories, Cédric returned to Cape Town with a refined culinary philosophy shaped by classical French precision, discipline, and artistry.
Today, his cuisine reflects sophistication, depth, and elegance — where impeccable technique meets bold flavour, and every dish is crafted as a sensory experience.
